change search folder to not scan public folder

Hi,
I want an unread seach folder in outlook 2003, but it insists on also
scanning the public folders. I don't have them selected int he folder
selection. Any ideas how i change it not to search the public folders?

ignore this, i had copied a public folder into my inbox, hehehehehe oops
