Hi,

I have a Win2k SBS where the boot partition was filled to
capacity because of an Exchange DOS. The swap file was
reduced to gain space, but made the system un-bootable(it
blue screens as soon as you logon with a 1e stop error in
ntoskrnl.exe).

I'm remotely deleting all these bad mail files from
Exchange to free up hard drive space, but I believe I will
need to remotely change the swap file to be larger in
order to boot with no blue screen again.

Please tell me how to change the swap file from a remote
PC, knowing the admin account and pw. (my machine is not
on the domain, but I could get that if necessary).

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks so much for the quick reply. If changing the swap
file back does not fix, do you have any recomendations?
It's kind of strange that the swap file would cause a blue
screen immediately after a correct logon has been
performed at the server. I'm wondering if the guy who
reduced the swap file also did something else.

Please give any suggestion you can.

Thanks,
Mike

You can change it via the registry. Try this:

1. First, to authenticate, since you're not in the domain, enter this at
the command prompt:

net use
\\theproblemComputer\ipc$ /user:theproblemComputer\administ
rator (or
