Change Number of users able to access a system

I have a small network with 8 computers running XP and 2 running Win98. I
have 1 system that will not let more than 5 users to connect to it. I cannot
figure this setting out. Anyone have an idea? They all are set the same and
the drives are all mapped the same way. All others work but I just can't
find the right setting to change.

If that system uses XP Home Edition then 5 connections is the max, and you
can't change that. If the system is running XP Pro, then the max number of
connections is 10 and you can't change that either, but be aware that one
machine may in fact be making more than one connection...
If you don't need Exchange server then I would investigate setting up a
Linux server on a spare PC....

What version of Windows XP is installed on the system in
question? Windows XP Home Edition allows 5 simultaneous
connections. Windows XP Professional can handle 10 connections.
