change motherboard in windows 2000 pro

Dear sir
My old computer is use Intel chipset motherboard and
installed the windows 2000 pro, but now i upgrade the
computer to changed to the VIA chipset motherboard and use
same hardisk. The windows 2000 can not start up and show a
blue screen (inaccessibile boot device). What can i do ??

Break out your win2000 CD. Make like you're going to reinstall, but hit
reapir instead.

Have you tried an in place reinstall? Basicly, install on top of your
existing installation.


If this deosn't work, trf getting to a command prompt via the recovery
disxs, backup important personal files and reformat.
(you did backup before this upgrade, right?)
