Change location of pst "mailbox.pst"

Using Outlook 2003 and win 2K.
I create an image of C drive as a backup. I have changed the location of the
mailbox.pst file to another drive. I followed the procedure in the KB
Assistance.

I note that the default location from "Docs & Settings\ ... etc still
retains a copy of the pst file and that it seems to be a slightly different
size and more recent (by a few mins) than the file i moved to other drive.
How can I be sure that the copy in the other drive location will continue to
be updated?

Unless the PST in the %UserProfile% is an Archive PST, Outlook shouldn't be
referencing it at all.

Thanks for your comments. I'm using a pop3 email not exchange. I probably did
not explain the question very well.

What I really needed to know is how can one be sure after moving the pst
file that this is the default pst. In Outlook 2003 it is named mailbox.pst.

However, I finally realised that the instructions for moving the file in the
URL
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011265401033.aspx is
incorrect because it says to COPY the file from its default location. But to
make this file the default one it is necessary to CUT and paste, not copy and
paste.

Simple solution. Once i realised this all went well and the new location
gets updated with every change to what is stored there.
