change the language to English.

Hi Subhash,

You cannot change the language of the OS. You will need to buy the English
version of XP. I wish I had better news for you.

LOL, JAX

this does not change everything, but it might change enough to do what you need.

How to install IMEs

Control Panel

Regional and Language Options icon

Languages tab

Select Install files for East Asian languages

(you may be prompted for WinXP CD)

Control Panel

Languages tab

Details button

Advanced tab

Add button

Input language

Select Language to change to

Microsoft IME Standard ver. 8.1

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you desire, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.
