change jpg photo date??

i need to change the date of my jpg photos.. im talking
about the date photo taken date. the info that shows up
when you move your curser over..

is there a free program that changes that info especially
the date or a way to do it with windows xp??

The following freebie can add / change dates
on the advanced summary tab of .jpg image
properties. You can do it in a batch also.

Exifer For Windows

Open Exifer and choose the folder...

With the selected folder open go to...Edit / Select All.
(Or..type...Ctrl / A)

Now...right click the selected group and choose...
EXIF-IPTC / Edit / EXIF data tab / Date tab...

Check the Date box and enter the correct date.
OK / Yes / No...

That should do it.

FWIW...Just for experiments to learn the program...
I suggest that you make copies of your images and
edit the copies. Actually I never edit my original files...
it's good insurance.

ive tried it and it wont change some of the dates.. it
will change the date taken but in the exifer the date
will show the original and wont cahnge the order..

i need some program more up to date and with some
support. this exifer is junk any more suggestion
