Hi,

We are looking to change the range from 172.*.*.* to
10.*.*.*. That means we have to change the adress IP of
all W2K servers.

Is-it possible to make such a change without any problem
or do we have to reinstall Windows???
Thanks

No reinstall will be nessary, just edit the IPs as required.
But you will have to shut down and reboot the Whole Network, including
Hubs/Swiches and other network equipment. And don't forget your printers if
they have NICs.

Applications on the Servers may have problems if the Applications have IP#s
in their configuration. If they have a client counterpart on the
workstations then they may be a problem as well because they will look for
the server on the wrong IP#.

If you are using DNS, as most MS applications do...you'll be fine. Thanks
to dynamic updates :)

You'd be amazed at how many don't.
