How do I specify the icons that are displayed with particular file types
when using Windows Explorer? I have a file that is correctly associated
with a particular program -- when I double click the file it opens in the
correct application. The icon that is displayed, however, is the generic
one--the blue box with the red, blue, and green dots in it. How do I
specify a different icon.

Thanks.

Hello Robert

Open the Tools menu in My Computer. Select Folder Options and click on the File Types tab. Next,
highlight the file type you wish to change the icon for and select the Advanced button under the Details
for... section. You should then see a Change Icon... button. Select the Icon of your choice.....
