I have several desktop plain yellow folders. These folders contain various
Jpg images. Is it possible to get one of the Jpg images to show on the
outside of the folder.

I know I can change to an icon but thats not what I want. I am also aware
that if I right click on the folder and go to properties then customize, an
image of the contents (a JPeg file) will show in the view. But, how can I
transfer that to my desktop.

TIA

Geoff

Thanks, but that only gives me an immovable image on my desktop. I actually
want the various folders to have a JPG image on them. But, I guess I am
asking the impossible

Thanks

Geoff

Geoff,

Open the .JPG in MsPaint.

Save the file, but in the File "Save As" dialog box,
in the "Save as type:" text box, click the drop-down-arrow button,
and choose [ 24-bit Bitmap (*.bmp;*.dib) ].

The new file is a .BMP Try that.

Thanks Jan

But it would only appear in the properties-preview with the chosen image on
the outside of the folder. When I tried to put it on the folder on my
desktop it reverted to the standard yellow file
