In 2000 PP, how/can you change the fill color of the hyperlink screen tip?
Don't want yellow.

Thanks.

I'm not sure it can be changed, Marc. If it can, I can't see a way for
it to be done easily, anyway. (Wonder if it's related to your actual
computer display settings?)

I think I remember the fill is the opposite of the hyperlink color.
Therefore, if the hyperlink is set to Blue (from the color schemes menu)
then the fill would have to be yellow.

If you really hate the yellow, you can change the color of your hyperlinks
to red (teal color fill) or green (purple fill) or verse visa

Thanks for the tips.

I went to the Format/Slide Color Scheme/Custom tab and can change the hyperlink color to whatever I want, but there is no option to change the fill color of the screen tip, which is what I want to do

It would not help to change my computer settings, becuase it is a particular presentation that I want the color to be different. I would have to tell all the participants to change their settings. Woooooh doggie

I'm thinking it's just not going to happen. Any other ideas

Marc

Sorry Marc, memory did not serve. This is a system setting.

To change the screen tip color settings --
Start | Settings | Control Panel | Display | Appearance

In a pull down menu there will be a list of items. Select "Tool Tips" You
may now adjust the background color as well as the text color/size/font.

Since this is an independent system setting (as Echo had said in the first
place) it is not possible for you to change it from within a distributed
PowerPoint Presentation.

PowerPoint follows the Windows display system settings for Tooltip color;

Rightclick the Windows desktop, choose Properties.
In the Display Properties dialog box, click Appearance.
What happens next depends on your Windows version; in XP, you click Advanced,
where you can choose a different Tooltip color.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for but,
instead, derives this from system settings.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide the ability to change this setting internally without
having to make system-wide setting changes, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

Yeah! That's exactly what I was thinking of, B. Thanks for following
that up.
