I have inserted a track from Windows Media player, into a slide show. The
track has a file extn .wma, and I want to embed this file into the pps. I
have learnt that only files with Extn .wav are embedded if les than 100 kb in
size. How can I change the track from .wma to .wav, and how do I change
default size of embedded files in power point. My version of power point is
2000. Thank you in anticipation.

Hi Harry,

Google for "Switch". I use this free program. It will convert almost any
audio file to .WAV.

To change the default limit for embedded .WAV files: Open PowerPoint | TOOLS
| OPTIONS | GENERAL | LINK SOUNDS with file size greater than.... Type 50000
KB | OK.

Good Luck.

Thanks Andy,

I found the info you sent very useful. I downloaded the converter file, but
the track I want to use from my media library is DBA protected. I took it
from a CD which was a freebie with a newspaper. I will have to have a
rethink, but thank you again for your help.
Harry
