change default file location

I have had to change the file location for the default
folder (my Data Sources); is there a way that I can "tell"
access to always look in that folder? I changed it in the
tools menu but whenever I merge a document in word, word
wants to go back to My Docs folder. or- maybe this is a
word problem?
 
If you meant you already change the "Default Database Folder" setting in the
Menu Tools / Options... / General tab, then it is Word problem.

The setting above is only for Access.
