change default fields on task reminder

I would like to change my reminder message box so instead of listing Subject
and Due Date, it lists information from custom fields I added to the form.
I know how to change the appearance of the reminder-- but not the actual
fields of the message box. Is something users are allowed to do?

I don't think it's possible to change the format of the reminder dialog box
at all. I know of a 3rd party program that replaces the default reminder
dialog and displays all of your reminders in one window (Reminder Manager,
available at http://www.slovaktech.com), but even that won't let you add
custom fields.

You might want to post your question to one of the Outlook VBA programming
groups and see if they have any ideas.

Thanks Jocelyn. Am I totally out of luck or could I suspend the current
message box and just create my own. I was trying to figure out how link the
subject line to the one I wanted but I couldn't figure out how to do
that...especially since I can't modify the main page of the task form :(

Okay. good to know. i finally figured out a way to just have the custom field
I wanted populate the subject field so it will work.

I have one other question. The task form I'm using is in a shared folder. I
can set it up so all of the people with access to the folder get the reminder
(by setting that folder as their primary folder) but I couldn't figure out
how to automatically dismiss reminders on everyone's screen once one person
opens the task. Is this more wishful thinking and not possible?

No.

Not sure I understand why you would want to dismiss the reminders for them
instead of them keeping the reminders or dismissing them themselves...but I
have not heard of anyone doing that. However, Exchange and shared folders
aren't my forte, so you might want to repost this last question in a new
thread and see if someone else can help.

Thanks. I want to dismiss them for everyone else because it is a reminder
that someone needs to call a supplier-- so once someone places the call,
everyone else is off the hook.
have a nice weekend!
