Hi,
The default Direction in the Find/Replace (Ctrl+F) dialog box is 'Up':
is it possible to change it to 'Down'?

Thanks.

Odd. Mine is always set to down... Try ending your usage with it set on
"down." Close the program. Launch it again and bring up Find/Replace. Did
the settings stick or is Up selected again?

Hi Sharon F,
It stays at 'Up'. Is this a registry setting maybe?

Sorry, I have no idea which is why I found this question interesting. I'm
thinking it might be somewhere in the registry since I have seen "up"
remembered if that's where I leave it. (Toggling the setting back to down
does switch it back for me.)

I also have no idea if this handled on a per application basis or globally.
My dim recollection is that it only appeared in one or two programs - IE
for example. Perhaps as far as Windows goes, It may be tied into "history"
or other "remember" settings used by Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer.

Sorry I don't have any more help or information to offer. Will be watching
to see if any new info gets added to this thread. I hope that you get more
answers.

I'm curious, too. In what program is this occurring?

Hi Keith,
It's the GUI to an ERP system called 'SAP'.
The company is pointing the finger at Windows XP set-up and not their
GUI.
Thks.
