Hi, I have a form which shows entries for dates in the
future. eg due dates and other critical dates. Can I make
the records a different colour for example red for
critical dates, and different colours for due dates
depending on how close they are to the current date.
Thanks, mon.

Hi Mon

yes it can be done using conditional formatting on the date field in the
form
go into design view of the form, click on the field that you want to set the
conditional formatting for
choose format / conditional formatting and set the condition(s) - you can
set up to 3 conditions (there are ways to do more .. post back if you need
to know)

the following condition turns the cell red (as that's the format i chose)
when the task is between 1 and 10 prior to the current date.

Field Value Is Between Now()-10 Now()-1

Hope this helps

Hi Mon

no conditional formatting wasn't available until Access 2000 - a quick look
through the google archives seems to indicate that you need to play with
setting the back or font color via code based on your conditions.

Haven't got time at the moment to look at this - i will have another look
later when i get a chance, but meanwhile you might like to do a search at
groups.google.com and see how you get on.

Cheers
