For the tab dialogue:
I don't believe you can change the font color here, but you can use MSPaint
to create a small image containing words in whatever color you want. Then
you can go into the properties of the tab, make sure the picture type is set
to "embedded".
For the picture property, browse to the new image you created, and for the
caption property, just enter a blank space so that it doesn't enter any
default text. That should do the trick.
For the Check box, I don't believe you can change that color either, but you
could do a work-around for this too. Instead of using a checkbox, use an
image control. Have the default image be a picture (that you create) of an
empty checkbox. When the user clicks on the image, have the picture change
to another picture (that you create) of a colored check in a checkbox. It's
a bit of extra work, but it can be done if you really need to.
