This may seem like a bone-head question, but is it possible
to change the color of the icon labels? Not the icons,
just the words saying what they are. They're now white and
with our light background it's hard to read the words. Thanks.

Hi,

Try this for me:

____________________________________________

Right click DESKTO (background where there are no icons)
Left click Properties> Click on Appearance tab at the
top .. and here change the "Windows and Buttons"/ "Color
Schemes"/ "Font size", effects etc. and the APPLY and Ok
the settings.

Hopefully, This should resolve your issue.

Please send me a mail at (e-mail address removed), if
this solves your problem. This would

encourage me to find better solutions to help you & other
customers in future.

Note: This fix to follow is personal adviced by me, which
has worked successfully in the

past, on machines with similar problems as per yours, and
has nothing to be linked or

compared with Microsoft Corporation's solutions.

Hi Rosemary,

By default in XP, it can't be manually changed. The text changes on its own
from dark to light depending on the color of the background. It is based on
the Desktop color not the Wallpaper. The combo is whether or not you are
using a Wallpaper and what the Desktop color is.
