Hello Group,
I'm well versed in computer, but brand new to XP.
I want to know if its possible to change certain icons.
I can't stand the the icons of people, such as are used in REPLY and
FORWARD in Outlook Express 6. They look like a cross betwwen legoland
people and weebles (wobble, but they won't fall down.)
I know they are controled by XP and not OE, because if I access OE 6
via Windows 98, there are no such icons.
I also want to change the volume icon that resides near the clock.
The third one I can't stand it the DIPLAY icon in Control Panel.
Does anyone know if any of these are part of a theme, such that they
could be changed using some theme control utility ?
I THINK is saw some of the "people" icons in a dll file. I've got an
extractor program, but I have no idea if you can remove one icon and
subtitue another into a dll.
Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated and I thank you
in advance.
If you know of a more appropriate group to post this in, or a website
with related info, plaese direct me.
