Hi, if time = 06:00hrs in A1 what formula would be required in A2 for the
font colour to change red if > by 15 minutes, green if > by 30 minutes and
hopfully blue, yellow etc in incrimants of 15 minutes upto 2 hours.

Many thanks in advance,

What version of Excel do you have? Whether you can do what you want will
depend on your version.

Would it not have been much easier to simply state that the 2007
version is needed?

Or does it also work with the 2k3 version? Any difference in how?

If so, it is not all that likely that anyone is still using a version
older than that would be looking for advanced features that they might
have seen in a recent workbook they observed.

You can only have 3 conditions in Excel 2003 and more in Excel 2007. If you
want more in 2003, you have to do it with VBA. That's a very big
difference.

It's possible to do what the OP asked in various versions of Excel. However,
there's a substantial difference in the method, depending on the version.
Rather than posting all the possibilities, which often confuses people more
than it helps, I didn't think it was an unreasonable request to know the
version first. That way a response can be tailored to the needs of the
poster.
