change border of a photo

Hi Folks,

I would like to make an oval border for a photo in my
newsletter instead of it being rectangle. I can not
figure out how to do it. I've tried a lot of things and
the solutions are not what I need. Thanks very much for
your help.

Do you have a digital image editing program?
Most advanced image editors should have an
option that allows you to *crop* an image to
most any shape you like.

If this is just for one image...you are welcome to
send it to me and I'll be happy to crop it for you.

It just crossed my feeble mind that possibly you
were able to create the cutout but when you paste
it in your project you lose the transparency.

If this is the case...try saving the cutout in the .gif
format. This should retain your transparency.
