I have a situation where I need to install XP Home on an XP Pro computer.
How do I change the boot sequence to boot from a disk? I don't see how to
get into the BIOS.
Thanks

The method depends on the motherboard BIOS. Normally when you start the
computer, you'll see a prompt that says something like "Press [some
key] to enter Setup".

Accessing the BIOS

You will need to do a clean install to go to XP Home from XP Pro since
it is a downgrade. Here are links to help you with that:

you will need on-hand

Make sure you have backed up all data beforehand since the clean install
will wipe everything.

Hi

Reboot your system and then have a look at the bottom of the screen for the
key to press - it could be Del, F2 etc. If you miss it, on the next reboot
press the 'Pause' key to read the screen.

If neither of those options help, have a look in the manual for your
motherboard - it should say in there.

Press the DEL key (or which ever key for your system - refer to the manual).

Then go to the settings for the Boot Devices, and Set the CDROM/DVD/CDRW
drive as the first device, and Hdd as second etc.
