In PPT 2003 I am able to change the background for just one slide as at times
I have content that cannot be put in the template. However, when I try to
change the background in PPT 2007, it changes the entire presentation, I do
not have the option to click on Apply for just this slide, only on Apply All.
I really need to be able to do this, or is this a function I must do without.
If so, it stinks and you are forcing me to reinstall Office 2003. Hope
someone can help.

Thank you

Right click the design or background you want to use. You should get an
option to apply to all slides or just selected slides.

Another thing to remember: The format background box is a non-modal dialog.
That means that your changes are applied as you make them. If you are using
that dialog to change your background, your changes should show on the
current slide as you make them. Click close to close the dialog when you are
done making your changes.
