change appearance of search companion

Windows XP Home. My search companion is set at classic. I
want to change it back to the advanced, with the animated
character and ability to search for photos, music and
video. I click on start>search, but I don't find the
change preferences option that should be there. Where can
I find this option?

Go to Start, then search, then change preferences. You'll find the animated
character option there
