Hello all,

I've done a search in MS database, but I don't think I'm posing the
question correctly to get the answer I want. Maybe one of you could
help.

Running XP home edition, SP3, I have my start menu set up with the
classic look. Seldom used programs are hidden, unless you click on the
"down" arrow. How do I change it so that all programs are listed
all the time?

I've looked around in the control panel, but don't find what I'm looking
for as far as changing the appearance. I'm sure it's something very
simple, I just can't seem to locate where to change it.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Doug

Right-click on the "Start" button and select 'Properties'.

Click on the 'Start Menu' tab at the top and then on the 'Customize' button.

Scroll down the list in the 'white' pane to the very last item :

"Use Personalized Menus" - and de-select (uncheck) it.

Click on [ok] then [ok] to exit.

All programs will be displayed all the time from then on...

Thank you Tim, that worked perfectly. I would have never
guessed to un-check that box. And, thanks for your fast
response. I hope I can someday help you out.

The knowledge that your 'Start Menu' is now how you like it is thanks enough, Doug!

Seriously... thankyou for re-posting that your problem was resolved.

So many don't bother, and it can be mildly frustrating.
