I have to change the AD from Mixed Mode to Native Mode
ASAP, and i am wonderign if someone have been in trouble
doing this task.
And if there is a Best Practice to do this.
thanks....

Native Mode only prevents you to have NT4.0 BDCs within the domain. Note
this doesn't effect Workstations and members servers at all, you can still
use NT4.0 Workstations and NT4.0 Server as an member server.

Native mode adds a few nice futures to Active Directory like:

Universal Security Groups, Group Nesting, SidHistory Attribute and so on.

We can easy describe Windows2000 Native mode with one sentences , No more
NT4.0 BDCs

To change the domain mode

1.. Open Active Directory Domains and Trusts or Active Directory Users and
Computers
2.. Right-click the domain node for the domain you want to administer, and
then click Properties.
3.. On the General tab, click Change Mode, and then click Yes.
(Make sure there is no NT4.0 BDC´s in the domain, and you are not planning
to setup any NT4.0 in the feture.)

but there is not a procedure to come back to mixed mode
the AD to Miexed Mode?
I know that Microsoft said "NO".

But what if a backup my DC's and take offline a come back
with the backup in Mixed Mode.

I am already done some tests, but i am a little afraid
about this change.

thanks.
