Change a user account to a new Domain

How do you change an existing account on an xp machine to a new domain and retain all of the users settings from the previous domain/desktop. Currantly they log in to a NT4 domain and we need to upgrade them to log into a server 2003 domain.

Assuming this is new 2K3 and not your upgraded NT PDC:

Join the new domain. Set up the profile path in your user account
properties. Have the user logon to create a new profile. Log on as the
local admin and using system properties, advanced, user profiles, copy the
old profile to the new profile.
