It seems that I am missing content from some web pages and
HTML e-mails. I have looked all over and have not seen
anyone reference a similar problem. Part of the page will
display but part of it will not. For instance, if I go to
dictionary.com and put in a word, none of the definintions
will appear, but the rest of the page is fine. I think it
has something to do with the way that the HTML is
translated. Netscape and Opera also have problems with
the same content although not exactly the same. Do I have
a corrupt file of some kind or is something else going
on? I have scanned for viruses.

Do you have any sort of filtering or popup blocking software running? Have
you looked at the source code for the page in question to see if anything is
amiss (bits missing for example)? I looked at dictionary.com and found
nothing wrong in IE, Mozilla, Opera, or Netscape (current versions of each).

I have never installed any filtering or pop-up blocking
s/w. I did try some of the spyware detection programs in
response to the problem. There is a particular line of
code that I can remove from the dictionary site that makes
it work (see below) but I have not been able to find
something similar in other sites or e-mails.

This is for looking up the word "car"
<h2 style="margin-bottom: 2em;">6 entries found for
<i>car</i>.</h2>

Microsoft's Scripting download
Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6.
The first version requires Windows 2000; the second version requires
Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0. Please choose the
download appropriate for your operating system.
