Challenge!! Slow word 97 file saving after windows2k/sp4 applied

After applying the win2k/sp4, the word 97 file saving
takes almost 40 seconds no matter how small the file is.
The word 97 used to work flawlessly. If I "save as" a
different problem, the problem is gone. Wired enough, this
problem only happens to a specific directory.
Most desktops are running win2k professional.

Try switching off Offline Files. or rollback to SP3. This is a known Bug in
SP4 and Office 97
