Help,
I have two apparent problems that may be related. I am running SP2.
First is on a link like http://cbbain.com/AgentDetail.asp?C=225002, I hang
up and cannot view the page. It works fine in other browsers. I have no
problem backing out.
Second is on a secure site, so the link would not be of use. I have a choice
of a report in pdf or html format. The pdf option comes up blank; the html
works fine. The report shows in a separate window with nothing but the frame
showing. I cannot find an analogous public site; all other pdf links
anywhere work fine. I have tried other browsers, but I cannot even get to
the reports, and do not expect that I could since the site owner is pretty
explicit about IE only compatibility.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE and Acrobat several times and tried
several options. When I watch the task manager, the acrobat reader is not
launched when I request the report, and I understand that it should be. The
report request apparently creates the report remotely as a pdf file and I
should be able to view it. The status bar flashes several remote folders
with .dll terminations while it is processing.
Let me know what other information I can provide to help with some
suggestions.
Thanks,
Steve
