Hi guys, there are certain jpgs that I have created in Photoshop and
then attempt to insert in a page in Dreamweaver, and for whatever
reason Dreamweaver dislikes and causes me to crash and restart the
programme.

The reason for posting this question here is once this happens, I
cannot do anything with the files, other than view them in Win
Explorer. I can't delete them, either via the recycle bin, or by shift-
deleting.

And it's not just jpgs either - I have 2 gb worth of .tmp files that I
can't delete because when I attempt to do so, I get a box saying
"calculating time remaining" with details about the file, its location
and the little progress graphic that moves and moves but never
actually deletes the file.

I hope I've explained this clearly. Is anyone able to assist?

Thanks in advance,
B

Hi,

Open Task Manager, kill explorer.exe on the processes tab, then restart it
from the application tab (click "new task"). Whatever is going on with those
programs is corrupting the explorer shell.

Thanks RIck and John,

I've tried both suggestions but still can't delete the files.
Rebooting still doesn't let me place the jpgs in Dreamweaver but does
allow me to delete the files.

Very odd.
