I'm not sure which NG is best so I am starting here. I have an Exchange
server. I am setting up activesync and need a certificate that will work
from the outside and inside. I currently have a self-signed cert created by
the Exchange server. The problem is the Subject Alternative Names needs to
include a new value. I noticed that the current values reflect the current
DNS names for the server. I created a new DNS CNAME value to associate to
the server and need this value listed in the cert so that I can use that to
get to the server from outside. I have not tried to re-create the
self-signed cert yet after creating the new records.
My question is that if I have Exchange create a new self-signed cert how
does it decide the "subject alternative names" values? Will it pick up the
new name?
