if cell A1 is larger than cell B1 to have it print in red .

Cell A1 is a constant number
Cell B1 is referenced from a different page
if cell B is less than cell A i want it to be red in color without
having to change the font

I didn't find the Conditional Formatting adequately described in HELP,
would suggest my page on Conditional Formatting as more informative.

The main thing to remember is to select the cells you want to be colored,
and the base the formula on the active cell.

sidenote:
The use of web based "forums" makes searching of websites very difficult
because you have to eliminate at least 40 such domains as you posted from
in order to eliminate newsgroup postings when trying to search the web.

All of the web based "forums" have one thing in common -- force feeding
of advertisements. One thing that used to hold this stuff in check was dial up
access where such sites would be completely unbearable. .

Using the newsgroups without a web interface would work better, and if you must
use a web based access to newsgroups would suggest using Google Groups or
Microsoft Communities as being better. Better to search newsgroups separately than
websites. The websites should have more complete content -- not just
regurgitated newsgroup postings that can be searched and seen in Google Advance Groups Search.
