I am repeatedly having a problem where I select a single cell and several are
highlighted at once. This problem tends to be intemittant but once it starts
on any given spread sheet it doesn't stop. Restart of the program may or may
not eliminate the problem, usually returns quickly.

I am having the same issue, but I have "SUM" at the bottom of the
screen...what do I do?

I have a client that is experiencing the same issue. When she does a single
left-click additional cells are selected. For example, she selects cell C110
cells C110 - C113 are selected. The name box shows C110, the spreadsheets
status is 'Ready'. Sometimes it is 3 additional cells that are selected,
sometimes 2. If after selecting C110, D108 is selected, cells D108-110 are
highlighted. If I page down and page back up, sometimes it will stop the
additional cell selection. More often than not, it continues to behave
strangely. The worksheet was originally created in Excel 2003 and she is
editing the worksheet in Excel 2007 [Compatibility Mode]. I have rdp'd to her
machine and been unable to recreate this issue. If I vnc to her machine, I
have the same issue. I have verified that it is not in extended mode and
ClickLock is not enabled. The cells do not contain formulas or any strange
formatting that I can find evidence of. Any suggestions of additional things
to look at would be appreciated!
