CELL LOOKS DIFFERENT ON NEIGHBOR'S SCREEN

I'm using FrontPage 2002. I'm using the Banner Ad Manager to rotate photos.
On my screen, everything looks good. On my neighbor's screen the picture
does not fill up the cell. The cell with only a STATIC photo looks the
same on mine as on his.
Also, I have an Include Page in one column. The words are in rows as I want
them on my screen, but wrap to the next line on his screen (as if the column
is not wide enough).

I have experimented with the screen resolution, but mine looks correct in
whatever resolution I use.

We both have XP as the operating system and Internet Explorer 6 as the
browser.

Regarding the font query, I'd check to see what you font size setting is (in
Internet Explorer click View > Text Size and make sure that your on Medium on
both machines). This would apply to the 'included content' as it's still
just text.

I can't comment on the images unless you can provide a URL to view?

Good luck

That's because your neighbors view port is smaller.
( sometimes called screen resolution )

If you put your content in fixed width containers, it will force a
horizontal scrollbar at smaller settings.

My screen resolution is 1280 x 1024, the smallest available to me.
The include page is in a cell that is defined as 161 pixels.
This is within a table that is defined as 700 pixels.

Would he have a resolution LESS than 1280 x 1024?

Should I have ALL the tables as percent instead of pixels?

Does this have to do with the rotating PICTURE not filling up the cell as
well? The picture is in a cell of 74 PERCENT.

Thank you.

Most users have a screen resolution less than 1280x1024. About a
third are using a resolution of 800x600.
Have you checked the text size settings in both your browser and your
neighbours, as Stewart suggested?

I cannot comment on the image, since I do not have a Java Virtual
Machine installed (nor do most people using Windows XP) - and do nor
know where to find the image anyway.

I'm sorry. I should have said screen resolution GREATER than 1280x1024. I
have set my resolution to 1280x1024, 1152x864, 1024x768, and 800x600. The
page looks correct in all sizes. Does ANYBODY have different sizes besides
those I mentioned?

Thank you.

Yes there are screen resolutions higher than 1280x1024
- but it is not just the users screen resolution that affects what they see
it is their browser window size (viewport)
and their other screen settings (dpi, colors setting, etc)

So every cell should be set as a percent rather than pixels???
I thought when it is a percent you can't guarantee that pictures will appear
in exactly the spot you want them.

Do you have any idea about the rotating ad banner?

Thank you.
