cell in Excel gives 0 value but formula is correct

I inserted a simple calculation formula into a cel but the value always comes
up as 0, although the cell next to it with similar formula gives correct
value. All I can see different is in the formating of cell...althoug it is
set on number the only difference is that the example shows a 0 instead of a
value. The perculiar thing is that the whole colum does this in most of the
cells except 3 cells?

Without seeing the formula, one can only take a guess as to the
cause of the problem. Likely, you have seemingly numeric
formatted as Text. Reformat the cells in question to General.

Select all your numbers and format as general or number. Put a 1 in an
empty cell, copy that cell, select all your numbers again and do edit /
paste special / values & multiply.

Now delete the 1 and try again
