I have recently rebuilt a PC with Windows 2000 and Office 97. When opening an existing Excel worksheet the size of the cells have changed from the original Excel file. When I open the file on another PC the file appears normal with all the cells correctly sized. I have patched both Windows and Office with the latest patches and updates but still the size of the cells changes on the different PCs

Any ideas?

Neil,

Screen resolution?

Thanks for your reply Jim but I have tried that as well!!

This has really stumped me as I have built well over 100 machines and I have never seen this problem before

Neil,

Some more things to consider...

Is the windows zoom setting at 100%?

Is the actual row height and column width of the cells changed or
do the cells just appear to be a different size?

Have the windows accessibility options been changed?

Is the Normal style setting what it should be? - Format | Style | Normal

Does the problem occur with all existing workbooks or just the one?

HI
Do 'Format'--"Rows"--'Height"---adjust height
or 'Format'--"Column" --'Width"--- adjust width
How that helps

What do you mean by "size of cells"?

Overall size or size of cells that have been wrapped and auto-fitted?

Is it just Excel or other apps also?

Could it be the Windows Display Settings........Font size?......DPI settings?
