Environment: WinXP, Excel 2007

I have a spreadsheet where occassionally the cell contents are not
visible. This is not a situation where the font color is the same as
the background color. If the problem cell is selected the cell
contents are visible in the formula bar. All of the cells that exhibit
this problem are text cells. If I scroll past the cells (either up or
down) and then scroll back to the problem cells the contnets will be
visible. Any idea what is happening?

Thanks for any ideas.

Oh, another piece of data. The cells with invisible contents are only
a small subset of cells for rows/columns that are currently in the
view window. Typically every cell in a current view should have data
(text) so cells which are blank are very conspicous.

There have been some people who complained that the text would appear in the
formula bar, but not in the cell in the worksheet.

Dave,

Thank you for the links, interesting discussions. I had done a lot of
google searching on this issue but I did not uncover those items. I
will keep this info in mind the next time I see the problem (it is
intermittent in my case.)
