Celeron M in a desktop PC?

Has anyone put a Celeron M 370 (or similar) proc into a normal socket
478 motherboard? Is there any reason why that wouldn't work?

Also, does the Celeron M run fanless? Or does it need hs/fan?

thanks

Could you provide more detail about which processor you want
to use, and what motherboard you want to use it in ?

Would trying to stick a socket 370 processor in a socket 478
motherboard make sense ?

Were you thinking of a socket 479 mobile processor to install in a
socket 478 ? There is a way to do that. (CT-479)

There are also a small number of desktop motherboards, with
a mobile chipset on them. But the boards are pretty
expensive, and are intended for HTPC type applications.

The Celeron M does not fit in a standard socket 478 motherboard. The Dothan
based Celeron M is socket 478 but the pin layout is different than the
desktop socket 478. The newer Yonah based Celeron M uses socket M. Don't
know how many pins it has.

Is there a motherboard that has a socket M slot? (Desktop motherboard,
atx). Or what's the next best thing I could do?

HP sells a tiny little desktop with a Celeron M in it, but I have not seen
any aftermarket boards for the newer Celeron M.
