CE Networking Slow

Hi,
I have a device running windows CE .NET 4.10. I also have a wireless
network which I can browse from my device although the first time I
try to browse it takes a few minutes. After the first time it
responds immediately as if it remembers the ip resolution or
something.

Is there any way to stop this initial delay?

Any help greatly appreciated.
 
"Browse it" is not specific enough to hazard a guess. What do you mean by
that? Web browse? Also, are you talking about inserting a wireless card
and then trying to browse or is the card inserted, connected to the access
point, as assigned an IP address before you try to start?

I have a card inserted, the device is authenticated and assgned a
static IP Address. I can also ping the other machines in the network.

By browse I mean start run then entering \\MachineName\SharedFolder.
 
If I do that on our device, the password dialog is displayed within a
second. After entering the correct information, the contents of the folder
are also displayed within a second. To me, it sounds like there is
something non-standard going on there. Is there a lot of broadcast traffic
on your network? What RF card are we talking about? What device?
