CE.NET Thin Client License Expired

Hi,

I need help with a terminal server connection license problem with an HP
Thin Client running Windows CE .NET 4.20.

The temporary ts client license of the Windows CE has expired, but the
windows 2000 license server isn't able to release a new
license.

I had the same problem with some Macintosh and Widows XP clients and I
resolved it deleting some files or registry keys on the
client machines...

Well... how can I do the same on the windows ce client?
Is there a directory or file that I should delete?
If it's a problem with the registry, what software should I use to edit the
machine registry on the thin client?

I assume that you have a free TS CALs available for this client in
the TS Licensing Manager?

If you thin client doesn't have a menu option to delete the license
from the client, then you can get rid of it by resetting the client
to the factory default.

I posted my reply 13 minutes ago. Do you really mean that you have
managed to do all of the following in these 13 minutes?

Reset the client to the factory defaults
Configure it again with the connection settings
Test if it can connect
Read both KB articles
Phone Microsoft Support and get the hotfixes
Install the hotfixes
Reboot your Terminal Server
Test the connection again from the thin client?

Can you please confirm the above, or post what exactly you have
done?
You should also check HP to see if there is a firmware update for
your client.

I'm sorry, but if you are already running both hotfixes, and HP
doesn't have a firmware update, then I wouldn't know what more to
do.
