cd's

sorry,i am new to this,so be gentle.when i burn cd,s on my pc
"toshiba-a45-s120" they don't play at all on my old system rack and also on
our car says "ERROR",but the cd's play on the other car we have and on all
dvd/vcr combo players.why is that?and how do i find out how to fix this
problem.could it be the speed ,the format??THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE

Convert them to .wav or .cda formats and then burn them. I use JetAudio for
this.

tyvm for your time to respond on my problem. i was traying to do that today but still don't know how to convert them to the 2 formats you suggessted becouse in jetaudio does not have the cda or the wav or i have to spend more time .anyway tyvm for your help and i'll keep working on it 'til get that sucker to play.best wishes..cj..

If nothing else head to www.snapfiles.com and look in their freeware section
for CD burning tools or for music editing tools. You might find something in
there that does what you want a little more easily.

In JetAudio all you have to do (depending on your version perhaps but in
mine it's this easy) is click the burn button and it will convert them to
..cda format (just like they came from the factory) so that they should play
in any working CD player on the planet. Other than that you might have to
look around for a different application or resign yourself to using the
original CDs in the car.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that it's because you're using a burner that's not
finalizing the discs. Older CD players can't handle that.

thank you for your time and effort .I finally found a cd burner and converter
to be able to play what I want on my car but the old rack system still does
not play them. so i'm thinking of puting old "betsy" in the closet.tyvm for
your advice and i'll spend a few more hrs. to try to get it to work.you guys
and gals have been a huge help. god bless!!!
