Hi All, first off compliments off the season from down
under Australia. I copied some photos from my pictures and
used the CD Burning wizard, it then came up with the
Highmat dialogue box and I did not know what to do so
selected nothing and just entered next and it went on its
way and wrote to the cd and then ejected after finishing.
Now however if I put any type of CD music or data the cd
drive does not recognise the cd and it just has a blue
icon with "cd" in the my computer section.
The funny thing is if I restart the computer with a cd in
it it recognises the disk once the xp is loaded up, BUT
still the eject function when you use the right hand mouse
button does not work on the drive.
Is there anyway that I can reset the cd drive read all the
formats and has the Highmat program changed my registry in
anyway? I am not super literate with computers but am
willing to try anything. The funny thing is if I put in a
music cd and use nusicmatch jukebox, the program
recognises nad plays the cd and also the eject button
function ok.
Thanks a million
Vernon Moore

Not choosing or chking the high-mat box should cause no problems
at all, youre useing the same computer with high-mat,you can get it probably
typing it in search at microsoft.com.Also,go to my computer, with the cd
installed in drive,R.click the drive, select, properties. What info is given about the cd,
you can,could,also R.click,open.
