The Dog Breeders List

If I download a file from Vista to a cd, it cannot be read on XP. Also
anything I create on XP can't be recognized on Vista. Is their some type of
setup that I need to do?
Disks just show up as blank on both machines, but show data if on their own
machine.
Thanks, Bob

Soryy, need more information.
Download? Are you downloading files from a network?
Can't read CD's that you created? What software are you using to "create"
CD's?
You have to be as specific as possible.

Sometimes if you use cd -r when a drive only recognizes cd +r you might see
something like that. Check your media and what formats the drives support.

people who are not computer geeks often call saving a file in another medium
or even installing a program "download"

it is an incorrect term, nevertheless I have learned how to bybass this
mistake and answer their questions
