I just formatted my computer but forgot to add the cdrom drivers to the boot
disk. Now my computer can't find the cdrom drive to install windows. It's
an Atapi 52 speed, but I don't know the manufacturer. Can I get a generic
drivers?

Can you not boot to the Win2K CD? If the BIOS recognizes the CD-ROM then
Win2K should boot the system.

Otherwise go to bootdisk.com and d/l the boot floppy with CD support.

You don't need drivers for the CDROM you need drivers for the controller
it is connected to. You said it is ATAPI. Is it connected to a Promise
or other type of controller like that? If it is just a standard IDE
controller then Windows includes drivers and you are having some other
problem.

Is it possible that you do not have the master or slace
configuration on the IDE bus set properly...?

Or that you do not have the chipset or drivers for your IDE
interface correctly loaded?

You can also check if it is on the secondery IDE that you
have it enabled in BIOS
