We have a group policy that prevents people from seeing the control panel.

We're installing Enterprise Vault from Symantec and we need to verify that
CDO and VB scripting are installed in Outlook. The way to know is to go into
the Add/Remove Program | Outlook | Change and then see if the components are
installed already.

If we can't get to the Add/Remove Programs, is there another way to find out
if those two things are installed? Is there a file that we can search for
that would indicate that they are installed?

we can assume that all computers have these components because we used the
same msi file to do the installation. but we need to be 100% sure.

thanks.

CDO 1.21?

C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\CDO.DLL is the usual
installation path when installed on a US English system. Earlier versions of
Outlook may use MAPI instead of MSMAPI and for other languages you'd
substitute your own language ID.

You can also check in the registry. I'm not sure about checking on VBScript
but I'd start by doing a Find in regedit to see what turns up.
