I'm trying to burn my first music CD ..using either Nero or Burn 4 free
...and
wouldn't you know, the first CD I put in my CDROM drive and copied the
files to
my HD to be burned to a CDR .. were all .CDA files :( .. I don't want to
convert
them to MP3 files,I'd like to convert them to .WAV files so the music
can be played on a regular Boise CD player. Any good freeware converters
that are kinda simple to use ? I'm a total novice at this burning issue

many thanx

If you want to just copy a CD using Nero, click on "Copy a CD" in the
Wizard. It's the second Wizard screen that pops up. On the third screen,
your source drive should appear- the fourth screen gives you the burn speed
options. Just click "burn" on that screen. I'm assuming that you have
separate CD-ROM and CD-RW drives, by the way.

If you want to copy a complete CD, you can simply use the "copy CD"
option of Nero. It will copy music CD's, too.

If you want to get tracks from different CD's and put them on one, you
need an CD-Ripper. It will extract the audio information from the CD and
save it as WAV file. (Exact Audio Copy is a good choice, you can find it
at <http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/>.)

The CDA files are only placeholder for Windows, so that you can access
the music on the CD with a double click. They are only links and contain
no audio data themselves.

Oh, and be so kind to put some kind of name into your posting - that
makes it easier to distinguish them from others.
