Hi,
Before installing Win2K I did a complete format of
my hard drive.
During setup I was asked for Service Pack 1 files
which are already present on my CD in the i386
directory. When going to browse for these files
my CD drive wasn't picked up.
I clicked cancel to proceed with the installation.
Win2k doesn't recognise my CD drive but does
when run in safe mode. In normal mode, CD Drives
doesn't even appear in the device manager.
I have tried running the remove hardware wizard
in safe mode and even tried a different CD drive!
Would creating a new partition and copying over
the i386 file from this solve my problems?
Any help appreciated.
