cd will not play

I have upgraded to media player 9.0, and every since
every time I try to play a cd in either of my drives I get
this message box. " Windows media player encountered an
error when reading the cd rom drive in digital mode. Click
ok to switch to analog mode. Click cancel to retry playing
in digital mode."
I try both boxes cancel first. Nothing but it did give me
an error code " Error ID = 0xC00D11F8, Condition ID =
0x00000000" It gave me directions to fix the problem, but
I could only go so far. I could get into the options page,
and then to the device tab. But when I tried to click on
drive D: or N: the screen would flash something really
quick and dissaper. I was able to click onto the speaker
area. I hope some one can help me. I even did a whole
unistall and reinstall.
