I'm trying to burn recovery disks for my computer.
At the beginning it told me that I would need 10 CD's or 2 DVD's.

Do I understand correctly that data can be stored on DVD's as well as
on CD's, but that DVD's have a considerably larger capacity?

Thanks!

Yes, DVDs have many times the storage capacity of CDs. Standard DVDs
hold up to 4.7GB of data and double density DVDs hold roughly 8Gb, while
a CD can hold no more than 700MB.

Correct on both points.
